On 19th October, 2024, the Pillai Education Alumni Association (PEAA) organized a vibrant Alumni Meet at MES’ Pillai College of Education and Research, New Panvel. Hosted by teacher educators Ms. Manju Vinish and Ms. Shruti Nari, the event aimed to reunite former students, rekindle old friendships, and forge new bonds within the alumni community.
The gathering began on a graceful note with a prayer and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, infusing the occasion with a sense of unity and shared tradition. The warm welcome extended to all alumni set a heartfelt tone for the day.
The event was brimming with enthusiasm and talent. The current batch of B.Ed. students entertained the audience with spirited dance performances, infusing energy and excitement into the meet. A proud moment unfolded as Ms. Moumi Mitra (B.Ed. 2022-24) and Ms. Mukta Kashikar (M.Ed. 2021-23) were felicitated for their remarkable achievements, inspiring both peers and seniors alike.
To keep everyone abreast of the association’s initiatives, Dr. Geeta S. Thakur, Joint Secretary of PEAA, presented a comprehensive alumni report. Her update showcased the collective efforts, milestones, and future aspirations of the alumni community.
Adding to the day’s highlights, the latest edition of the alumni newsletter was unveiled, offering glimpses into inspiring stories, updates, and shared memories. The celebrations culminated in a lively dance and music session, allowing everyone to unwind, rejoice, and create new memories together.
Although some alumni could not attend, their absence was keenly felt, underlining the shared hope of involving them in upcoming community activities. This meet not only rekindled nostalgia but also reinforced the spirit of togetherness, urging alumni to remain connected and actively support the growth and future endeavors of PEAA.
