As part of the F.Y. B.Ed. Community Work Programme, student teachers carried out Community Service at Don Bosco in Navnath Nagar and Jeevan Jyoti over a period of 10 days. They organised a variety of educational and creative activities to promote joyful learning among children from the local community. As the programme coincided with the Diwali season, special activities such as Diwali decoration making, painting, drawing, art and craft, educational games, and interactive learning sessions were conducted, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from the children.
The programme provided the student teachers with an opportunity to engage meaningfully with children from underprivileged backgrounds while developing their communication, leadership, teamwork, and organisational skills. It also strengthened their sense of empathy and social responsibility, reinforcing the importance of education, compassion, and community service in the holistic development of future educators.
