On 29th November 2025, F.Y. B.Ed. student-teachers, in collaboration with Soroptimist International Bombay Chembur, performed three impactful street plays at two prominent locations in Panvel – near Old Panvel ST stand and outside Jeevan Jyoti Trust. The initiative was organized to create public awareness on significant social issues through the powerful medium of street theatre.
The performances focused on themes such as Gender Equality, Save Water, and Elder Abuse. Through compelling dialogues, expressive performances, and thought-provoking slogans, the student-teachers effectively conveyed important social messages, encouraging the audience to reflect on their roles and responsibilities in addressing these issues.
The initiative received an encouraging response from the public and served as an effective platform for community awareness and engagement. It provided the student-teachers with an opportunity to strengthen their communication, teamwork, and leadership skills while reinforcing the importance of collaborative efforts between educational institutions and social organizations in promoting positive social change.
