News Talk

The Literary Club introduced a “News Talk” activity during the morning assembly from June 25 onwards to enhance students’ awareness of current affairs and communication skills. As part of the activity, students presented daily news from areas such as sports, national and international affairs, business, education, science, and entertainment. The presentations were assigned according to roll numbers to ensure maximum participation and equal opportunity for all students. The activity helped students develop confidence, public speaking skills, and the habit of staying informed about current events. The programme was successfully coordinated by the Literary Club in-charges: Ms. Shruti Nair Ms. Priyanka Sonar and Ms. Sreedevi Menon

Book Donation Drive

The Literary Club, committed to promoting reading and literary engagement, Successfully organized a Book Donation Drive, with the collection carried out from 8th August 2025 to 23rd August 2025, in which students actively participated by contributing a variety of books, reflecting a strong sense of responsibility and enthusiasm towards the initiative. The drive was efficiently conducted under the guidance of the Teacher In-charge, Ms. Manju Vinish, with the support of the student council led by Ms. Shruti Nair and student representatives Ms. Priyanka Sonar and Ms. Sreedevi Menon, whose collective efforts ensured the smooth organization and success of the event.

Retro Words Activity

The Literary Club organized an Engaging Activity titled “Retro Words” on the occasion of Children’s Day, celebrated on 14th November 2025. The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Literary Club teacher-incharge, Ms. Manju Vinish. The activity invited students to revisit their childhood memories by speaking about nostalgic words associated with their early years. Students were called one by one to share their personal experiences, emotions, and stories connected to these words. The session turned into a joyful and memorable experience as participants enthusiastically expressed their thoughts, creating a warm and lively atmosphere. The activity not only encouraged active participation but also helped in enhancing communication skills and strengthening bonding among students. It provided a platform for self-expression and reflection, making the celebration meaningful and enjoyable. The programme was successfully organized by the Literary Club in-charges, Ms. Chaitali Kudmate, Ms. Esha Chouhan, and Ms. Anvita Rodrigues. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Esha Chouhan to the organizers and participants for their enthusiastic involvement and contribution to the success of the activity.

Inspiring Women: A Reflection Activity

The Literary Club organized a “Inspiring Women: A Reflection Activity” on 9th March 2026 to celebrate International Women’s Day. The highlight of the activity was an interactive session where students were encouraged to speak about women who inspired them and played an eminent role in their lives. Ms. Manju Vinish, the teacher in-charge of the club initiated the activity by sharing the inspiring women in her life. This was followed by students who shared heartfelt experiences and stories about mothers, teachers, leaders, and other influential women, highlighting their contributions, strength, and impact. It promoted values of respect, gratitude, and empowerment among the student teachers. The programme was well organised and coordinated by student council member, Ms. Shruti Nair. The celebration was engaging and inspiring, making it a memorable experience for all participants.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar: Book Snapshots

The Literary Club conducted an activity called “Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar: Book Snapshots” on 15th April to celebrate Ambedkar Jayanti under the guidance of Club In-charge Asst. Prof. Manju Vinish. The purpose of this activity was to understand the ideas from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s books in a simple and interesting way. Some of the books discussed were Annihilation of Caste, The Problem of the Rupee, and Who Were the Shudras? In this activity, students spoke briefly about the books and explained their main ideas in their own words. They also shared what they understood and how these ideas are important even today. The activity was interactive and enjoyable. Everyone listened carefully and participated actively. It helped students improve their speaking skills and made them think about important social issues. Overall, the activity was successful and meaningful. It was a good learning experience for everyone.
