Teaching Knowledge Test

With the aim of providing a strong foundation in the core areas of teaching, knowledge needed in English classroom teaching TKT (Teaching Knowledge test) was introduced to our students. This test not only will enable the upcoming teachers to update their teaching skills, but also will enhance their career opportunities by broadening their teaching experience into specialist areas. This test will add to the professional credential that focuses on core teaching concepts for the teachers of English as a foreign language.

English Add on course

13th January, 2014
With a view of helping such students, a certificate add-on course was organized for the B.Ed. students free of cost from 13th January, 2014. The students who were scoring comparatively less marks in their exams due to language barrier, were given the opportunity to register for this course. Thirty two students enrolled for the course. The classes were conducted six days a week from 10.00 a.m. to 10.45 a.m. by Asst. Prof Mrs. Bhavna Dave. Our current students Ms. Smitha Kurup and Ms. Ichha Mehrotra did the follow up activities with them. The students were given training in the usage of verb forms, tenses, prepositions, subject-verb agreement and other basics of Grammar to be able to improvise in the written structures. A pre-test of the students was taken before starting the training programme and a post-test conducted after a month. A significant improvement was seen in the performance of the students. This course continued till 15th April 2014, and we at PCER-Panvel are pleased to carry on such tasks for the benefit of our students.

Hindi Diwas 2013-14

14th September, 2013
Hindi Diwas was celebrated on 14th September, 2013. The Hindi speaking student teachers under the guidance of our teacher Ms. Pradnya Jadhav took the initiative to make this day memorable. We stressed on the contributions made by literary scholars and how to imbibe in each one of us the love and art of knowing the correct language.
