National Science Day at Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE)

Every year, HBCSE celebrates National Science Day. Student teachers and teacher educators from our college attend the Open House programme featuring various activities in science, mathematics, technology and in science education. There are lot of different activities and programmes going on simultaneously. Live demonstrations, laboratory experiments and fun activities for all to see and understand is the highlight of the day.

Educational Visit to Muenzer

This visit helps the student teachers to understand the functioning of the organization, the positive impact it has created to the environment, the minimization of scrape. The reutilization of the used oil and converting it into biodiesel with minimum scarp or reusable scrape. Muenzer Bharat ensures correct and compliant disposal of used cooking oil and prevents the oil from entering the food chain by converting it to biodiesel. Complete process is explained: collection of used oils from hotels, keeping record of the amount collected and the process of changing it to biodiesel.

Visit to Shanay SOPAN

Educational visit organized for the student teachers to SOPAN: Society of Parents with Autistic Disorders – Shanay, an NGO which works passionately for the children with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. The visit provides an opportunity to understand the need of specially abled children and the teaching techniques required for their physical and mental well-being.

Visit to Urban Hatt

An Educational Visit to Urban Haat was planned for the student teachers. There was food, art and craft festival which displayed the cultural richness and diversity of the Indian art.

Visit to a Pottery

Educational Visit was organized for the student teachers of B.Ed. and M.Ed. to Kardi Village in Rasayani. The purpose of the visit was to give students a feel of village life along with a hands on session on pottery with Mr. Satish Joshi – Modern Potter.
